The Teatro Romano di Trieste are the remains of an old roman theater located in the town of Trieste. The theater is located near the town hill near the old center of the city. Build in the 1st century, it was destroyed in the 6th century when triest was under siege by the Lombards. Buried under a new town wall and buildings and not discovered again until the 1940s.
