The Herzogstuhl (Duke’s Chair) dates back to the 9th century and played an important role in the inauguration of dukes. The origin of the stone used dates back to the roman age, the chair itself was mention in documents from 1161. Because of the nearby highway, the char has been put under a protective glass house a few years ago.
