The Casino Velden open first time in 1922 as an independent Casino. In 1934, the federal Austrian Casino AG (today Casinos Austria) bought the casino and made it their 5th Casino in Austria. It was reopened first in 1950, later in 1974 outside event and playing areas were build. Getting to small over the years, the Casino was rebuilt in 1987, giving it its present shape. In 2007 further work on the building moved the focus more away from gambling and towards high society events. This particular panorama was taken during a fire training for the EM 2008 in Austria, it not only shows the entrance part of the casino, but also the involved fire departments.
