A common feature on buildings in the inner part of the city in Klagenfurt, one or two doors give access to an inner backyard that holds a staircase and entrance to the individual flats within the building. Those backyards garant some privacy in the middle of the city and also protect the residents from the noise of the outside traffic and are often nicely decorated.
