Gallizien Village Square

With traces back to the roman age, the village of Gallizien became better know when the castle Wildenstein was build in the 12th century. A massive earthquake in carinthia during 1348 leveled the castle, the village was give to the church then. Until the 16th century, the Village was a played a big role in the traffic system, with the nearby bridge over the Drau and a pass over the mountains.
