The church of Maria Wörth is located on a small hill, around 20m/60ft above the sea level. To access the church and the surounding graveyard, you have to go up stoned stairs. Becuase the marmor is quite slippery, the installed this wooden roofage above it. The first church was build in 875, but burned down in 1399, when they rebuild it to its current shape.
