Turracher See

Turracher See

The Turracher Höhe is a village on the border between carinthia and styria, but also the name of a part of the Gurktaler Alps. Because of the high level and the large distance from other villages, the first seddlers went there in the 17th century to establish a trading center for the salt-routes from Salzkammergut. Today, the area is a famous skiing resort in winter and a frequently visited hiking range in summer.
